MY SOCIAL GROUPS

INTRODUCTION:-

It is an established fact that human-beings are social animals and they derive social satisfaction from the society. As a result, it obvious that he/she is going to become a part of numerous social groups. Social groups are basically the formulations of combinations of people on the basis of their own needs, desires, ideologies etc.

IDENTIFICATION OF SOCIAL GROUPS:-

After having conducted a careful scrutiny of my social deliberation with the people around me I have concluded that the social groups in which I am a part in are as follows:-
  1. The social group of group of college groups
  2. The social group of family
  3. The universal social group of a nationality
  4. The ultimate social group of the world as a whole

ROLE AND STATUS IN THESE GROUPS:-

My role in the social group of being a college group member is that of a learner, assistance provider and cordial group member. My primary role as a member in this group is to ensure that the assignment gets completed in time and there is a friendly, cordial as well as professional atmosphere in the group. The status that I receive in this group is arbitrary and inconsistent. there are times when I get the status of a group leader as a post assigned to me by my group. However, most of the times my status is that of an ordinary group member.

I hold the status of a son and a brother in my family. My primary role in my family is that of fulfilling the minimum required and expected duties for the other family members of mine. I have to also act as a problem solver in contingency situations. However, as a whole my main duty is to impart my educational, cultural and social duties efficiently and swiftly.

Being, an Indian I also hold the status of an Indian national in a universal social group of Indians all across the world. Many a times, it so happens that the situation demands me to prove my worth as a son of this soil. When we start talking at a global level there is not much change in the status of an individual. He/she becomes a global citizen and that is the status that he/she gets. However, there is no expectation of a role from any person whatsoever. Individuals themselves just have to live their lives and try to impart their life in the best manner, upgrading their standard of living in the meantime.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL GROUPS ON  PERSONALITY:-

I can confidently state that my personality has become more professional and work oriented through the college assignment groups. It is because I am always accountable to my fellow group members and my performance can be instantly measured by my grading and my relative comparison. My family can be said to be the cause of current personality. In my opinion the family is the single most important determinant of an individual's personality. The foundational ideologies, sentiments, education of ethicality and morality etc. are all bestowed a the family of an individual. thus, my way of thinking is a composition of my family structure and knowledge.

finally, when we talk about the nation and the world it can also be deducted that such huge social groups give a higher purpose to a human being. if we talk about an individual he/she finds himself/herself to be a part of a massive mechanism, So, a person becomes extremely competent in his expertise as he has a higher purpose in life. I myself have become very much aware of my surroundings and my personality has also become capitalism, indigenous culture and nationalism driven.

CONCLUSION:-

Thus, it can be concluded that an individual can become a member of numerous social groups at the same time and he/she has to imparts the roles and responsibilities as per individual ability. So, it can be deducted from the write-up that social utility drives the need of being in a social group.
